Muslim country-originated airlines already provide meals that are cooked and prepared following halal guidelines so there is no need to order a special meal. If you need to check on specific dietary meals please check the airline’s ‘special dietary requirements section.

List of Airlines That Provide Halal Cooked Meals

Turkish Airlines – Since the meals they serve on Turkish Airlines flights are prepared in accordance with Islamic rules, there is no need to request a Muslim meal. 

Etihad Airways – All of the meals they serve on board are prepared in strict compliance with Halal regulations. All of their meals and products are suitable for Muslims, so there is no need to make a request in advance.

Qatar Airways – All meals provided by Qatar Airways are halal.

Emirates – All meals are halal-certified.

Gulf Air – All food on Gulf Air-operated flights is ”halal’ and there is no need to request a Muslim meal.

Flydubai – All food served onboard their flights is halal and subject to availability.

Oman Air – All food supplied for their flight is ‘‘halal’ and there is no need to request a MOML meal.

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) – All meals served on PIA are halal, so there is no need to order a special meal for this.

Biman – Biman serves only Muslim meals to comply with the halal requirements and is fully halal certified.

Saudia Airlines – Saudi airlines meals are complimentary and all meals are halal certified

Malaysia Airlines – Meals served on board all Malaysia Airlines operated flights are prepared in accordance with Malaysia and International Halal standards, as such there is no need to request Muslim meals

Royal Brunei Airlines – All meals in Royal Brunei Airlines are halal and prepared in the most healthy way possible.

Egypt Air – All of EgyptAir’s standard meals are halal, and prepared in accordance with Islamic dietary law.

Muslim meals prepared according to Islamic tradition and custom are referred to by airlines as “MOMLs.” There won’t be any Haram (forbidden) elements in these meals, such as pork products, gelatin, alcohol, alcohol-derived flavoring, or non-halal-cooked meats. For MOMLs meals you can expect to receive a range of meals, some of which may include dairy products, fish, poultry, lamb, vegetables, eggs, and other foods. Not all flights provide MOML meals regularly and will need to order in advance during pre-booking or 48/24 hours before the flight. Therefore it is recommended to check with the airline in advance

List of Airlines That Provide Halal Meals ‘MOML’ Option

All other airlines provide MOML meals regularly and will need to order in advance during pre-booking or 48/24 hours before departure.

Lufthansa – MOML meals have no use of pork and no alcohol. All meat and poultry products used are certified as slaughtered according to halal guidelines.

KLM – Serves MOML meal tailored to the religion Islam.

Air France – Halal meal (MOML) is recommended for Muslim passengers. All animal products come from animals slaughtered according to Islamic rites. This meal does not contain pork, pork by-products (including gelatin), or food and beverages prepared with alcohol.

Cathay Pacific – MOML food prepared and served in accordance with ‘Moslem’ dietary laws and customs, containing no pork and pig by-products, gelatine, non-white fish meat from species without scales or fins, alcohol, and flavoring extracts with alcohol.

British Airways – MOML meals are prepared in accordance with halal Guidelines. Does not contain pork, by-products of pork, or ingredients containing alcohol.

Japan Airlines – Japan Airlines (JAL) is now serving in-flight MOML meals that have been HALAL-certified by Japan Islamic Trust on all international flights from Japan. *The menu has been certified, including food ingredients, cooking methods, food-preparing factory, plate wares, etc. *All plate wares used are disposable.

Singapore Airlines – No alcohol, pork, pig by-products, ham, or bacon is used in the preparation of MOML meals. Its preparation and cooking style may vary.

Air Canada – MOML meal prepared according to Moslem dietary law and customs. This meal only contains foods prepared in accordance with Moslem dietary laws and customs (halal).

Air India – MOML meals are suitable for Muslims and are prepared in accordance with the halal method. May contain lamb, chicken, fish, eggs, fruits & dairy products. It does NOT contain pork or pig by-products.

Korean Air – A MOML meal prepared according to halal rules without pork or alcohol.

Aeroflot – Their MOML meal does not contain any pork, gelatin, or alcohol.

Iberia – MOML food does not contain pork, pork sub-products, or foods that contain alcohol. All meats come from ritually sacrificed animals.

All Nippon Airways (ANA) – MOML meals will be prepared in accordance with the regulations and customs of Islam. It will not contain pork products, gelatin, alcohol, flavoring extracts made from alcohol, or seafood from species without scales or fins.

American Airlines – Muslim meal does not contain pork, by-products of pork, or ingredients containing alcohol.

EVA Air – MOML food is chosen, prepared, and served in accordance with Moslem dietary laws and customs.

Delta – All MOML meals are Halal certified and do not contain pork, by-products of pork, or alcohol. Preparation and cooking style may vary.

Air New Zealand – MOML meal contains ingredients chosen, prepared, and served in accordance with Muslim dietary laws and customs.

Thai Airways – Muslim meal, contains no pork, bacon, ham, or alcohol. Cooked according to Halal rules. MOMLs are normally served on THAI flights to Pakistan, so there is no need to request this type of meal on this route.

China Airlines – MOML meal prepared according to Islamic custom. No pork or related products, gelatin, or any kind of alcohol.

Azerbaijan Airlines – MOML meals served.

Austrian Airlines – Islamic Confirming menu meal free from pork or pork-based products. The menu is of course prepared without any alcoholic ingredients.

Virgin Australia – MOML meal contains food items sourced from approved Halal suppliers. Does not contain pork or alcoholic products

Air Mauritius – MOML meal is made from halal products and is mainly composed of lamb, chicken, and fish. However, while the above conditions remain true for all Muslim meals, their preparation and cooking style may vary across flights.

Sri Lankan Airlines – All meals catered out of Colombo are Halal certified.
